Simon Says Exclusives Dies Launch Blog Hop :-)

Hi all !! Isn’t this hop exciting !! Smile

If you arrived here from the super talented Linda Trace’s blog then you are going in the right direction, if not then you may need to go to the start at the Simon Says Stamp Blog.

I know that by now you will have hopped around the world visiting so many FABULOUS and SUPER talented designers ! To be honest when I saw the line up for this hop I was quaking in me flip flops !! :-)

I chose to showcase this gorgeous Fresh Daisies die, so pretty !!

I made 2 cards to show the die as the focus of a card and as an embellishment :-)

There are 11 dies in the series and you can see them all HERE :-)

I made the first one using the lovely papers and sentiment stamp that came with the July Card Kit.

I cut out several daisies, using the Fresh Daisies die, and made a mask on some white neenah card. I then sprayed with my copic air brush and a BG00 marker to create the background. I then cut out 2 more from the neenah card and coloured them with copics. I trimmed the die cut so I had 3 flowers and I used my Mc Gill Tool Kit and Moulding Mat to ‘round’ them. I used a Grand Calibur and Grand Oval Nestibilities to make the frame and used a Circle Border Die to cut the red paper ( from the kit) to make to make the background strip. I made a butterfly using Memory Box Kaleidoscope and Moonlight die and I finished with a few Robins Nest Dew Drops and some Hemptique twine.

Next up ,,,, well ,,, I just HAD to use a House Mouse stamp !! This is called Throwing Daisy Petals ,,,, PERFECT !!!! :-)

I coloured with copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky Distress Ink. The papers are from Lawn Fawn and I used a lovely doily from the June Card Kit. I embossed some whitewash coredinations in a new Whimsy M-Bossibilities folder I used the Simon Says Exclusives Fresh Daisies die to cut out plaon white card and coloured with copics. I finished with some purple polka dot washi tape and I used a MFT Die-Namics Button Quartet die to make the button. I finished with some Hemptique twine and Hero Arts Gems.

Simon Says ,,,, Anything BUT a Card :-)

Thanks for all your fabulous entries last week :-)

Before moving onto the challenge I would like to welcome our new team members :-)

This week we have another great challenge for you !!

ANYTHING BUT A CARD

so a Tag, ATC, Album, Frame, Bookmark, Candle ,, endless possibilities :-)

We are showcasing 7 Gypsies and /or Maya Road Products on our cards this week and if you have them we would love to see them used but you don't have to use them to join in :-)

As usual Heidi will be giving away a $50 voucher to shop at the FABULOUS Simon Says Stamp Superstore!!!!

I bought this gorgeous Shadow Box by 7 Gypsies a while ago specifically for this challenge and hoped I would have a ‘light bulb’ moment in the time it took from ordering to having to get down and inky ,,,, well that never happened !! So it was time for plan ‘B’ ,,, wing it ,,,,, :-)

I had also bought some Life collage tissue paper and wanted to use it so I tore it up and covered the whole box with it. Now what ??? ummmm then I spotted this lovely photo of Amy when she was 5 years old, taken on Blackpool beach after a donkey ride and I decided to use it as the focal point of the box. I coloured some cheese cloth with Vintage Photo Distress Stain and popped it in the box I stamped a Unity postcard and inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink and used pop dots to pop that in there too. I scanned and printed the photo and then inked the edges and used a distress tool to scuff the edges.

I had some seashells in the bathroom so I glued a few of those in there and added a little piece of burlap and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut some hearts which I glued together, coloured with a copic marker and then sprinkled with red glitter.

All the embellies in the little boxes were cut out on the Silhouette too, coloured with copics and inked a little with vintage photo. I then smothered the ‘Fun in the Sun with Star Dust Stickles :-)

I must admit I really LOVED making this ! It really brought back lots of lovely memories.

It was Sean’s 10th birthday and we went to Blackpool with my parents, my sister and her hubby, their 2 children and my brothers daughter came along too. It was a lovely day and Sean and I even braved The BIG One !! :-) I will find the photo that was taken on the ride ,,, very funny, and I will make another one of these for Sean !! :-)

Thanks for looking. Liz and the DT have made some gorgeous creations for you to see so please hop over to see them ! I hope you will find some inspiration to join in with the challenge too ! :-)
