Wish I was there ,,,,,,,, :-)

Hi again :-) I am back with a card I made for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge whose theme is No Patterned Paper :-)

I have recently bought these fab London themed stamps, Miniful and The Tower Bridge so I wanted to use them :-)

I stamped the image and coloured with copics, I then inked the edges with Stormy Sky DI and glittered the edges with star dust stickles. To make the background I used the stamp resist technique, I used a Hero Arts Distressed Stripes stamp, inked with versamark and embossed with white EP. I then used several colours of distress inks to create a weird looking night sky ,, well London does have pollution and it creates all sorts of reflective colours Open-mouthed smile I then sprayed the whole thing with Lindy's Gang Long John Silver glimmer spray ,,, soo gorgeous and shimmery IRL ! I then stamped the London Bridge with Archival ink and coloured slightly with Distress Markers.

The signs are from a Unity ‘Along for the Ride set and I added a strip of ribbon to finish :-)

Thanks for looking :-) I appreciate your comments so please leave me one :-)

Simon Says ,,,,,, Anything Goes ! :-)

This week we have the ever popular theme ,,,, your favourite ,,,

ANYTHING GOES !! :-)

We have a very special week this week :-) Not only is Heidi providing a $50 Voucher to spend in the Simon Says Stamp Store

We also have the lovely Kim Hughes, the designer of the lovely Paper Smooches range of stamps giving a 2nd lucky winner a choice of 2 stamp sets ! :-)

This week we are showcasing Paper Smooches stamps and we would like to thank Kim for providing our Guest Designer Mandy and all the DT with a stamp set each to use for the challenge :-)

We are also joined this week by 2 lovely designers from the Paper Smooches DT so there is LOTS of inspiration for you this week :-)

Of course you don't HAVE to use Paper Smooches stamps to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used :-)

For my card I used a fab Paper Smooches Spiffy Scooters set

While looking for inspiration for this card I found THIS fab one Diane Zechman’s blog and loved the way she made the floating clouds and the paper piecing so I CASE’d it :-)

I used my Grand Calibur and Grand Scalloped and Grand Circle dies to create the shape. I used My Minds Eye On the Bright Side papers and layered and paper pieced areas of the scooter, the plain parts were coloured with an E51 copic marker. I used the triple line stamp from the set to create the white paper design and I stamped the clouds from the set and embossed them with a Swiss dots folder, I then used thin strips of acetate to ‘float’ them. I used some Hemptique twine and a shaped button that I thought looked like a puff of exhaust ? ,, :-) I added a little Star Dust Stickles to the ‘lights’ to finish ,,,

Thanks for looking :-) Mandy, the Paper Smooches DT girls and the DT have all made some fabulous cards for you to see so hop on over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge to see them :-)
