This week the theme over on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge  is ,,,,,,,,

Don't panic ,,, nothing too energetic ,,, just no square cards this week :-)

As always Heidi will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!

A few weeks ago Sarah made THIS hexagon card for the ‘Trendy’ challenge which I LOVED so I thought I would CASE her idea :-)

I made an easel card using Spellbinders Hexagon dies and products from the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit. I loved the little birds on this paper and used that as the starting point.

I used a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives Small Forest Tree die to cut out some shimmery card, I had mopped up the excess Lindy’s Stamp Gang Tawny Turquoise spray from a previous project and used it :-) I popped a cute little Studio Calico Wood Veneer Bird, adding a little eye with black Enamel Accents.

The twine and the button were also in the kit, isn’t that Basic Grey button gorgeous !! eta, the button and twine were also in the November Card Kit

Less Is More ,,,,,, :-)

Hi all :-) I am back from our little city break to Seville, we had a lovely time even though we picked the only rainy 3 days in 6 months :-) Going around on an open top bus in torrential rain is an experience I think everyone should have ,,,, lol :-)

I have made  2 cards following Chrissie’s sketch over on the Less Is More Challenge ,,, one I really don’t like but will show ya anyway :-)

I used the faux letterpress technique on this using a Sizzix Dots embossing folder and Hero Arts Wet Cement shadow ink. I die cut a Larger Forest Tree from Simon Says Stamp Exclusives dies and added a cute little Wood Veneer Bird from Studio Calico. The  sentiment is a SSS exclusives too and I added some metallic twine to finish.

For this one I used a grey card as the base and stamped a Hero Arts Potted Plant onto a scrap of the same card and divided into 3 portions. I then layered it onto Peppermint Bazzill and used some red fun flock on the flowers and added a few dabs of Platinum Stickles for seeds. I made an extra pot and sprayed with Studio Calico Shine, this looks really gorgeous and shimmery IRL and awful on the photo :-) I went around the edges with a white gel pen and heat embossed the sentiment.
I am not overly fond of this one but am sure it will come in handy ,,, can never have too many ‘thanks’ cards :-)

Thanks for looking :-) I hope you all have a lovely evening and for those of you in the path of the hurricane I hope you all stay safe  xx thinking of you all xx

Having recently bought this super cute House Mouse Stamp of the Month for September, ‘Happy Windsay’ I thought this would be perfect for the theme :-)

I stamped twice, coloured with Copics and inked the edges with Stormy Sky Distress Ink. I made the frame using a design on the Silhouette Cameo, using a dark brown card, and embossed with clear and gold embossing powders, it looks quite aged :-) The papers are from a new Lily Bee Autumn Spice pack and I added a swirl using a Simon Says Stamp Exclusives Harrington Vine die.  The sentiment goes along with the image and is called ‘Blows Me Away’

arty angle

I bought an extra set of these stamps for a blog candy for the House Mouse and Friends Challenge blog hop, so  if you would like a chance to win them see this post :-)

ribbon girl logo_thumb[2]

We don’t celebrate Guy Fawkes here but I still wanted to go with the Fireworks theme so I thought I would make a Happy New Year card :-)

For the background I used plain dark blue card and sprayed with Tawny Turquoise spray from Lindy’s Stamp Gang, so shimmery IRL.  I used a Hero Arts Fireworks stamp and silver glitter embossing powder to light up the sky and added a few crystal gems for stars in there too :-)  The London skyline was a design for the Silhouette Cameo and I added some little windows, a gear, also cut on the Sihouette with 2013 in the middle. I made the  Happy New Year sentiment using a Simon Says Stamp ‘oh Happy day’ die,a Sizzix Typeset Alphabet die and lots of crystal glitter :-)

I am now on my way to Seville in Spain for a little holiday so will catch up with you all when I get back Smile
