Truly Scrumptious and Bee Crafty Challenges

I made this card following the sketch on the 'Truly Scrumptious Challenge' The image is a new digi download from Bee Crafty who have just started their 1st competition and are offering this free download + another one if you add their banner to your blog :-)
I used a paper download from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts, some gemstones peachy card from cordinations and a little swiss dotted blue coredinations. I coloured the image with copics and paperpieced her dress, well, I had to do that cos I coloured it with prismapencils and made a right mess, need better card !!! ( that's my excuse and am stickin to it !! ) :-) I 3D'd the bag after glittering. The flowers were punched and a doodlebug brad added to centres. The ribbon is papermania.

Thanks for looking, your comments are appreciated so please leave me one :-)

Funky Fairy's Challenge 11#

The theme this week on the Funky Fairy Challenge is 'Dare to be Square'. Well when I heard this I was thinking 'outside the box' and square pegs round holes :-)
I have had this paper mache box in my drawer for 3 years so thought it was about time I did something with it. I go to night school to do mosaic so I had the idea to do a faux mosaic effect on this. I painted the box grey as I love to use grey grouting on the real thing ! I then printed some 'Cherish' papers in 3 colours from Funky Fairy Papercrafts, cut these into 2cm squares and stuck them on the top and around the base. The swirly scrolls were cut on my cricut. I then sprayed everything with a clear mat varnish to seal it all :-)
I used red cardstock for the base card and didn't want to cover too much of that up so I used a little of the the clock design paper from the same 'Cherish' set and a swirly scroll. I coloured barefoot Tilda with copics and dabbed a lovely shimmery light blue sky and green at the bottom but it doesn't show on the photo, in real life it looks lovely, honest !! I used a nestie to cut the image circle and cut the larger green circle using a fiskars circle cutter to make it slightly larger, it matched the clocks better than a scalloped one I thought !!
The sentiment was printed on the comp and stuck in a SU hardware thing!
